It is said that one should never skip breakfast and infact as the saying goes “We should eat breakfast like a King.” Since olden days parathas have been considered as the most sumptuous breakfast option and great for tiffins as well. Following is an easy to make and yet very nutritious breakfast option:
Methi Onion paratha
Ingredients
Whole wheat flour – 1 cup or as per the size of family
2 medium onions
1 cup fresh methi leaves finely chopped
½ cup coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder
Red chili powder
Ginger garlic past
2 tbsp til
Method
Mix all the above ingredients and add water to make a soft dough. Ensure you don’t add lot of water yet enough to make a soft dough. Now divide the dough into five portions. Roll into a medium sized paratha. Heat pan and toss the paratha. Lightly apply ghee on both sides. Serve hot paratha with curd and green chutney.
Add chopped methi leaves, coriander, til, turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder
Knead into a soft dough
Serve hot paratha with curd or green chutney
