Three women officials applauded for commendable efforts at Mahad rescue operation

Three women officials who have been coordinating at the Mahad rescue operation tirelessly have been applauded for their commendable efforts at the Mahad operation site. Raigad collector Sheetal TeliUgale, Mahad sub divisional officer Sushma Satpute and sub divisional police officer Pranjali Sonawane have not only tirelessly worked since August 3 but have also ensure that the relatives of the deceased did not face much problems as they diligently coordinated with agencies. Mahad sub divisional officer Sushma Satpute said, “I headed the Command Centre located close to the bridge site. Arrangements for relatives to identify the body and handover to compensation release was handled by us.” She complimented the local tehsildar Sandip Kadam for handling the logistics and prompt release of compensation. She told, “The collector and SP Raigad were handling the strategies of operation.” The sub divisional police officer Pranjali Sonawane was coordinating with the police. The recovered bodies were moved from the locations from where it were found to the rural hospital. Identification of bodies by relatives, post mortem and sending them to their home through ambulance were part of work.
