Where there is a will there is a way proves Prajakta Samant

Prajakta Samant needs no introduction in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Daughter of the noted social activist Bharat Samant,Prajakta, despite her busy schedule in corporate world, leaves no opportunity to serve the underprivileged sections of the society.
A human resource post-graduate, Prajakta has a full time demanding job. However, what is impressive about this young corporate professional is her inclination to serve the society. While a majority in the corporate long for the weekend to relax,Prajakta, looks forward to the weekend when she can meet her underprivileged little friends to whom she has started teaching Computers and English.
“It gives me immense satisfaction to see the children learning up so fast and doing so well. The authorities have been helpful too and have been very supportive of my endeavor,” beamingly says Prajakta.
Prajakta’s inclination for social service has been right from childhood. Recalling her childhood, her father, Bharat Samant says; “Whenever she had summer break, she would try to teach to the underprivileged children.”
“I was always keen to teach the underprivileged children. There are many who are ready to give donations but there are very few who actually take out time to teach these kids. My desire is to see these children grown into good, law abiding citizens and have decent livelihood, “said the soft spoken Prajakta.
After completing education and joining the corporate world, she decided to do something for the society and approached a civic school in her vicinity. Hearing her interest in teaching the children Computers and English language, the civic authorities at once gave her an approval.
“While I teach them on weekday in School, I try to meet them during weekend as well to help them if they need any help,” says Prajakta. “I feel rejuvenated when I see the happy smiling faces of these children. It motivates me to do more for them,” adds Prajakta with a smile.
